Film Lamp explores how film and light can interact to create an intimate lighting object. It serves as both a lamp and a display stand for 35mm film strips. A soft light source placed at the centre passes through the film, revealing its colours and details while creating soft, atmospheric reflections around the space.
Process
The lamp was modelled and rendered in Rhino to study light diffusion through 35mm film strips positioned around an LED core. The process focused on testing transparency, spacing, and reflection effects.
